“Emphysema” is a type of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), that causes the air sacs in your lungs to deteriorate. This reduces the surface area of your lungs, which leads to progressive difficulty in breathing. The cause of emphysema is Airborne toxins. Although in the past it was found that result of the disease more than 80% from cigarette smoking. But nowadays, it has been detected that there is an increasing steadily of people with COPD have never smoked, whether from inhaling car fumes, Inhalation cooking fumes, etc. So Winserve Corporation group joined the part of the civil society of the “MAGIC BREATH” club for ‘Breathe Better, Live Longer, and returns good breath to patients with emphysema’
Mrs. Thanitra Karuhawanit, Executive Vice President of Winserve Corporation group, as President of the Bangkok International Rotary Club with the Club Executive Committee together passed on the good breath through supporting 3 five-liter oxygen concentrator machines with cash to repair exercise equipment in the amount of 13,000 baht. Asst. Prof. Nantana Chumchugh, Director of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Medical Center represents the receiver at Chalermprakiat Hall, MSMC Building, Faculty of Medicine, Srinakharinwirot University Ongkarak district, Nakhon-Nayok on October 21, 2020.
To support the activities of the Internal Medicine department, the Faculty of Medicine, Srinakharinwirot University (HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Medical Center, Ongkarak district, Nakhon-Nayok) by Assoc. Prof. Suthat Rungruanghiranya, Pediatric Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Unit and chairman of the Medical consultant. To distribute the oxygen concentrator machines to the community in the neighborhood. This able emphysema patients to use the oxygen concentrator for the entry life, the device is returned to be passed on to other patients in the community afterwards. Futhermore, discarded bicycles pedals are taken from the area around Srinakharinwirot University Ongkarak district to build emphysema patients exercise machine. This activity is not only effective in helping patients in society but also to give back to society with environmental responsibility, as the Winserve Corporation ‘Capability, Accountability, and Social responsibility’ vision.
